The DATAMITE Project Meetup (https://datamite-horizon.eu/2025/01/27/save-the-date-datamite-meet-up-event/), hosted by OTE’s IT Innovation Center in Athens, Greece, on February 06, 2025, under the theme “Bridging Research and Industry in EU-funded Innovation”, brought together Europe’s top innovators, researchers, policymakers and industry leaders to foster collaboration, accelerate data-driven progress and create a unified strategy for Europe’s digital future. This has offered a unique networking opportunity, in a fully interactive framework.
There was participation of sixty-five (65) EU-funded projects coming from different thematic areas, thus forming a fully interactive exhibition. There were separate booths for all participating projects, represented by their rollups/banners and dedicated on-screen presentations explaining their contexts and/or their innovative processes.
OASEES has been represented by Mrs. Vasiliki Vlahodimitropoulou (OTE), in the section serving several ongoing Horizon Europe projects. In this scope, OASEES could exchange views and/or experiences with other ongoing European projects (like 6G-PATH, AMBITIOUS, 6G-BRICKS, SUNRISE-6G, 6G-INTENSE, NEMO, and aeROS).
More specifically, possibilities for joint future actions have been discussed while, in parallel, experiences related to verticals/use cases, any corresponding KPIs/KVIs, trials and testing measures, proposed B5G-based architectures, methods for deploying and implementing AI, cybersecurity aspects, business perspectives and many more have been discussed.
The full day has also been divided into five-panel discussions where participants explored cutting-edge research, shared insights, and discussed needs, concerns, and solutions in critical areas such as data ethics, privacy, cybersecurity, AI, IoT, and sustainable innovation.
